Location: Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada
Scope: Planning, Land Development, Architectural Design, Interior Design, Project Management and Marketing
Construction was completed on this 80 room facility in May 2006. Strategically built in the growing south west corner of Lloydminster, the development is a unique blend of prairie hospitality and 21st century technology. Spacious room and suite layouts, high end room amenities and furnishings, ventilated storage areas and comfortable common areas are highlights of the development.
Extensive consideration was given to the environmental efficiency of the project. “The hotel was one of only three hotels across Canada that was awarded the highest ECO rating possible – 5 Green Keys”, by the Canadian Hotel Association. Hotels are given this prestigious award when they exemplify the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility throughout all areas of operations employing cutting edge technologies, policies and programs that set the international standard for sustainable hotel operations.
One of the unique features of the development is the second floor pedway which connects the hotel to a multi-use sports facility, The Commonwealth Centre.
A graphics/marketing package was produced which included interior and exterior signage, banners, brochures, internal use forms, room guide and a website to help provide a consistent and professional identity for the development.
